Who Are We?
Our church is a group of people who strive to help others connect with God and other Christians. We would love to meet you and share a loaf of fresh bread with you. Join us before bible study at the “Gathering” for fresh coffee and breakfast food.
What Is Worship Like?
We begin each service with upbeat music lead by our Praise Team, Instrumental group and our Celebration Choir. Each service is filled with a mixture of hymns and contemporary music. Whether you lift your hands in praise and sing along or sit in quiet reflection, we pray you sense the presence of God.
What Kind of Message Will I Hear?
You will hear a dynamic Bible-based message by our pastor. His expository preaching presents the word of God in a manner that is clear, concise and applicable to daily life.
What Time Does Service Start?
Our Sunday services start at 10:15 A.M. and last about an hour, with mid-week bible study and seasonal training on Wednesdays beginning at 6.M. We end worship services with an opportunity for you to receive prayer and one-on-one ministry from one of our ministers. Worship services stream on Facebook and begin at about 10:10 A.M. Guest parking is located on the Northwest side of campus at the corner of Nederland Avenue and South 20th Street.
Is Children’s Ministry Available?
Yes! First Kids. Children's Ministry is an important part of who we are and what we do at First Nederland. Children from 4 years old through 2nd grade have a separate time of worship, Bible learning, and fun during our regular worship time in a secure and age-appropriate setting. Parents are encouraged to bring older children into regular worship time so they can learn about worship from parents and adults.
What Should I Wear?
At First Nederland you will see everything from suits to t-shirts. Wear what is comfortable to you. God looks at our hearts not our clothes.
